Registered address, business scope and local compliance
The registered address is a legal requirement, not a formality. Yunfu's urban districts, Yuncheng and Yun'an, host most commercial office space, while industrial parks and stone-processing zones sit outside the centre. A leased office or factory unit is the most robust option. Virtual or shared addresses are accepted in some cases but can complicate tax registration, inspections and bank onboarding, so confirm suitability before signing.
Business scope deserves attention. Write it to match what you will actually do: trading, import/export, wholesale, manufacturing, repair, consulting. If you plan to export, the scope and subsequent foreign trade operator registration must support it. If you plan to sell domestically, VAT invoicing capability matters from day one.
Ongoing compliance includes:
- Annual reporting through the national enterprise credit system.
- Monthly or quarterly tax filings, even in periods with no revenue.
- Statutory bookkeeping and, where required, an annual audit.
- Timely capital contribution in line with the filed schedule.
Local practice on inspections, fire safety and environmental rules is stricter for manufacturing than for a pure trading office. Budget for it.
